Q. What is the benefit of using a third-party parcel consulting service?

A. Most companies don’t have full time staff negotiating parcel and freight contracts. Even if they did, they still don’t have the ability to benchmark shipping costs against others in the same class. Shipping contracts are complex and require data analysis, bid comparison, implementation and measurement of savings.
SourceCorp has consultants on staff to give their full attention to the bidding and negotiation process. Our consultants act much as if they were your full-time employee, but only when you need them, to provide the best combination of price and service. Our experience working with many companies across all industries plus the benchmark data we have access to gives us the ability to negotiate the best rates available.

Q. I really think I have the best rates available. How much will it cost to have SourceCorp review my shipping data if you aren’t able to get me better rates?

A. SourceCorp will conduct an initial assessment at no charge to determine if we can negotiate lower shipping rates.  Should we proceed but are unable to save you money on shipping costs, you pay nothing.

Q. What will a logistics consultant do for me?

A. Our parcel consultants negotiate with your carrier as well as provide coaching to help you negotiate on your own. We leverage the collective volume of the clients in our network as well as benchmark data to buy down rates, which we pass on to you. In addition, our proprietary software automates the both the invoicing and refund processes, saving both time and money.

Q. Won’t we damage our relationship with the carrier if we use a third party?

A. You may actually see an improved relationship with your carrier. Most of the time when a third party does the negotiating, the carrier gets a higher level representative involved who is usually better able to answer questions or concerns.
